Instructions for Sending Cash Payments
Since many international members may not have access to US currency
or instruments negotiable at US banks, TASC will accept payment
in local currency (see previous page). TASC
will also accept responsibility for currency lost in the mail provided
that the following procedure is followed:
- Send a note (preferably by e-mail) to both
the TASC Secretary AND the TASC Treasurer stating your intent
to send a cash payment through the mail. (Note the amount being
sent, the members name, and the date it is to be mailed).
- Cash should be inserted between some type of heavy stock not
susceptible to translucent viewing, and sent via first class mail
or airmail if overseas. Any amount in excess of the amount specified
(required to avoid sending coins) will be credited to the following
years membership dues.
- Mail the payment to:
The Association for Somali Cats
PO Box 1201
Philomath, OR, USA 97370
The membership form should be sent separately from the payment
(preferably by e-mail from the TASC website, tasc.freeservers.com/memberform3.htm).
- The secretary will reply (via e-mail or postal letter) when
the envelope is received or after 14 days from the date the cash
was to be sent if it wasn't received.
- If you receive a notice that the cash was not received, you
must send a note to the secretary confirming that the cash was
sent as specified. If the payment has still not been received
after 21 days, you will be credited with the payment. TASC will
accept cash payments that depart from this procedure, but will
not accept responsibility for lost payments.
